What happens when a cargo ship encounters a typhoon?
This ship pulled into our port this week. The damaged caused by the same typhoon that hit the Philippines. All I can say is that I’m very happy I wasn’t on this ship during the storm.

I worked in Seattle 1997-1999 at Pier 86… yes the ugly grain terminal. Anyways I saw ship that looked much like this one. The wave hit it from behind and the water went down the stack knocking out the engines!
Cool! Talk about an up and down business .. wow! My bike ride home goes right by the terminal. Last year there was a ship everytime I went by. Not this year.

Looks like it wasn’t fun, but at the same time looks like the ship made it through relatively well. I hope all aboard were safe.
I think every one made it through OK.
And all those missing Containers floating in the shipping lanes?????
Probably not .. likely at the bottom of the ocean.
Oh wow, looks like they lost a bunch of containers!!
So this is why the lumber in our import containers looks like a bad Jenga accident when we open them.
LOL! Yup!
