Jewlrey box edge treatment I added keys to the mitres to prevent them from opening up. Then cleaned the rabbets for edge trim. All decrorative edgeing done. Keys are made of paduk and jatoba. Now, on to the hinges. Share this:FacebookEmailTwitterLike this:Like Loading...
Thanks ya’ll!! 🙂 Since I don’t get to have my normal feed back on this (“How does it look??) .. its really good to hear. Loading... Reply
Looks great Marilyn. Merry Christmas. Quick question, did you install the miter keys using hand tools? If so, how? Loading... Reply
Nope, I used a spline jig on the table saw. You could do it with hand tools. Saw out the section to the lines and chisel out the waste. I did it with a hand saw kerf (here:http://sheworkswood.com/2012/09/22/making-a-picture-frame-with-hand-planes/) but wanted something more substantial this time. Merry Christmas to you as well! Hope yours is good and Santa brings nice tools! 🙂 Loading... Reply
